LISTA Georgia Tech council and the Black/Latino Council will host this Special Welcome Reception which will feature AT&T’s Chief Executive Officer Ralph de la Vega author of “Obstacles Welcome: Turn Adversity into Advantage in Business and in Life,”, who will discuss lessons learned on his journey from Cuba to corporate America. Also featured will be the debuting of “TechNowist” a book written by Carlos Dominguez Senior Vice President from the Office of the Chairman & CEO of Cisco Systems, Inc. Imagine the Top Two Latino Technology gurus in the country together for the first time in Atlanta for this reception.

This year’s Emerging Technology Leadership Summit will concentrate on Diversity and Inclusion and shall serve as a learning experience that enables leaders from inside and outside the diversity office to develop core competencies in Employee Resource Groups, while getting together to discuss issues affecting Latinos in the Technology Industry. The LISTA Emerging Technology Leadership Summit will be followed by our National Latino Achiever Award Announcement and will be a celebration of 15 years of LISTA’s focus on developing America’s 21st Century Information Sciences and Technology Workforce and empowering our community with technology to close the digital divide.
